The Ruck MPS DF series smoke box fan features a frequency-driven motor positioned outside the air stream, preventing dirty or contaminated air and gases up to 200 °C from passing through the motor. The fan can even withstand temporary temperatures of up to 400 °C. Its design makes it particularly suitable for use in the catering industry or in environments with grease. The fan must be operated with a frequency converter, which can optionally be adjusted via a variable potentiometer.
