The Ruck smoke box fan (MPC DFT series) features a frequency-driven three-phase motor positioned outside the air stream. This design prevents dirty and contaminated air, including grease or smoke, from passing through the motor. The fan can operate continuously at 200°C and withstand short-term temperatures up to 400°C for 120 minutes. Due to this, it is widely used for extraction in the catering industry. Note that the fan requires a frequency converter for operation, which can optionally be controlled with a variable potentiometer.
