ScandiFlames Electric Aquafire Base 40 Opti Myst Fireplace Insert
AquaFire Base 40 HYB-20-211 is a freestanding Opti-myst fireplace insert that can be used to transform an old traditional open fireplace into an Opti-myst fireplace, creating flame effects using water vapour and LED lights. AquaFire Base does not emit heat but simply provides a visual flame effect.
AquaFire Base 40 measures approximately 40 cm in width and can fit into many different fireplaces.
Dimplex Cassette 400/600
The heart of Base 40 is an Opti-myst Cassette 400/600 burner unit developed by Dimplex. The cassette has a capacity of 1.2 liters of water and can "burn” for up to 8 hours on a single fill. When refilling the fireplace, regular tap water is used.
Cassette 400/600 creates flame effects using a Transducer, which atomizes the water through ultrasonic vibrations. The atomized water is then illuminated with LED lights, creating a completely unique flame effect.
A transducer lasts approximately 6-12 months, depending on usage, after which it needs replacement. A new original transducer costs around £30-£40 and takes only 2-3 minutes to replace.
Installation
AquaFire Base 40 requires no installation and can simply be placed where desired. There is no need for a chimney or flue, and the unit only needs to be connected to a standard 230V power outlet.

Returns Policy
You can return items for any reason within 14 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange. Contact us by live chat or email info@redlakecompany.co.uk and request the appropriate returns address. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 7-10 business days.
Made-to-order items and orders in a specific finish or color, as per the customer’s specifications cannot be returned.
